Don't get me wrong.  I love the palindromic symmetry of the date and the numbers but everyone just conveniently forget the 20.  Seriously.

Here's to the Crazy Ones!

Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify them or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.
Because while some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

And it's the people who are crazy enough to think they can
change the world who actually do.

RIP & Goodbye Steve. Thanks for everything. Even the stuff I hated.

CityScape: Aircon Jeepneys

When did these airconditioned jeepneys start plying the streets of the metro?  Because I have no absolutely no idea.  At first I thought it was a private ride for some quaint family until I saw two of them side by side with the route they ply printed on the sides.  I went wow... I really to get out more often.

Steve Jobs... The Man Who is Different

Reading about this piece of news made me sad.  I remember the time I started going into computers.  My father bought an Apple ][c.  Revolutionary at the time even if it only had a miserly 48kb of RAM and 1 floppy drive.  I loved it so much that I immersed myself into coding, hacking and reading up on all the tech lore surrounding it.

I first read about the Steve Jobs in Byte Magazine.  It was really an article about the two Steves who founded the company, Apple, Inc.  It moved me to imagine great things and to be first in a lot of things.  Personally and also in business.  To think differently.  Maybe not better than everyone else but certainly different.

It's hard to write about the man that has not yet been written.  Google him and you'll see what I mean.  All I can really say is he continues to inspire me in the things I do with work and other things.  That because of him I continue to think differently and I am not ashamed of that fact.
